What is Hyaluronic Acid (HA)?
Hyaluronic acid is a natural compound found in body. It has many functions such as holding in moisture, providing cushioning, aiding in tissue repair and helping create a protective barrier against microorganisms.
HA is able to holds 1,000 times its weight in water. Skin starts losing hyaluronic acid as early as the age of 18, but wrinkles and other skin damage from hyaluronic acid loss do not generally show up until the late 30s or early 40s.
